RocketCyber tamper protection and agent uninstallation

RocketCyber does not include a dedicated Tamper Protection feature. Instead, it implements a combination of installation permissions and visibility restrictions designed to prevent unauthorized uninstallation or tampering by end users.

Installation and uninstallation controls

  • Administrator privileges are required for the installation of the RocketCyber agent across all operating systems.

  • Only the administrative account that conducted the installation is authorized to uninstall the agent.

  • On Windows systems, the RocketCyber agent is not displayed in the Add or Remove Programs list unless accessed via the administrative account that performed the installation. This effectively restricts standard users from viewing or removing the agent.

Importance of these controls

These measures ensure that:

  • End users without administrative rights are unable to disable or uninstall the agent.

  • The agent remains operational and safeguarded against casual tampering.

  • IT teams retain comprehensive control over RocketCyber deployments.
